Hi,
Running Windows XP Pro. Machine is a HP/Compaq desktop DC7100
2.8Ghz)
Daughter played with screen resolution and (appranetly) set it to a
resolution not supported by the monitor... now desktop is scrambled --
like a TV without an antenna. I can just vaguely make out colors of
the screen objects.
Is there a way to reset the screen resolution during boot-up?
I have no Safe Mode menu presented upon boot -- the guy who set up my
PC stripped out all boot-up delay stuff, so that it goes from power-on
to desktop in about 15-20 seconds. However that means I can't seem to
grab any setup menus (F8 does not get me Safe Mode menu, for
instance).
I can get into the BIOS settings on boot, but not sure what to change
in there if anything.
Thanks in advance for any ideas!
