Hi all,
I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit oem with computer, i have had 2
computers with this now over 6 months, and its really driving me up the
wall(mad), IF not for media centre, i would sell it(vista) and go back to
XP.(darn wireless never auto connects also)
Problem is when my PC goes to 'sleep' after 15 minutes left on,(flashing
light) and i resume, the resolution dissapears(1220*720), i checked the
driver(nvidia 430) and the screen resolutions have gone from some 9+ settings
to 3! and my LCD 42" LGcd2 TV cannot see screen(have to plug in 19" lcd
monitor). also approx 1 in 6/10 times i restart the PC it also changes, 9/10
times if i restart again, it fixes it self.
resolution i need if 1220*720(hdmi port) and it changes to 900*600 always.
When i updated via Vista OR website (nvidia) the newer drivers DO NOT have
1220*720,so i load from CD.
lastly, i CANNOT leave the TV ON during startup, as i see the boot screen,
then 'loading screan'(round vista icon) then blank(no signal)...ALWAYS. I
must turn on PC, wait a minute, then turn on TV. it seems like some crazy
auto screen resolution settings.
first PC: amd 3500,250meg raidon 550 graphics card,4*512meg ddr1
ram,gigabyte motherboard,150 gig HDD,winfast 2000H HD TV tuner.DVI to HDMI
connection to TV.Vista HP 32bit.
current PC: amd 3800 dual core,2*1 gig ddr2,2*512meg ddr2 ram,gigabyte
motherboard with 128 megs shared graphics card(nvidia 430 series),2*400 gig
HDD,VGA to VGA connection to TV.Vista HP 32 bit.
WHY? its Vista NOT drivers, they all worked fine with XP, just no media
centre...
How do i disable this auto screen resolution searching?
thankyou.
