screen resolution changes every time i restart machine

The resolution of the display is set to 1024x768 but
everytime i restart the computer the screen resolution
goes back to 800x600. Dont know
 
Are you sure your monitor can handle 1024x768?

When was the last time you checked for updated graphics drivers?
