Screen Look

All,

I have just reinstalled XP and it went all OK. However, the type on screen
now looks very slightly blurred - It never used to look that way.

Is there a setting I can change to get it looking sharp and pretty?

Any advice welcomed.

It is enabled - And I am working on a 17" desktop machine..

Any other ideas?

Could very well be your display properties screen size and/or refresh
frequency.

Right click on the desktop and select Properties. Turn to the Setting
spage. See if Screen resolution and Color quality are the same
settings you had before. Click the Advanced settings button and turn
to the Monitor page. Check that screen refresh rate is the same as you
had it before. A low refresh rate results in blurred text for me. But
be careful not to set the refresh rate higher than your monitor can
support.

Issue is that it was fine last night just before the reinstall.

I also just downloaded the latest NVidea drivers from Microsoft and it is
still the same....

Yup - Settings are all the same - I think it must be the monitor going on
the blink!!

Unless you have any other ideas?

Turn off clear type.

Before you assume anything, borrow a monitor and see if
the problem goes away.

If it's not a LCD display, turn off ClearType. Also,check the refresh rate.
