Screen goes red!!!

Everytime I boot up my computer the screen goes red. Its starts up normally and once I click on the user it logins and the screen goes totally red. If I hit CtrlatDel then I get teh task manager but thats it. I can see the mouse button so I dont think its a video card but I could be wrong. Has anyone heard of this?

What kind/type of monitor do you have, CRT or flat screen? If CRT, it could
be an indication of a failing monitor.

No virus that I know of, but it could be a bad video card or connector.
