Screen goes blank when i close my notebook

My screen goes blank when i close it. Seems to go into standby mode. moving
the mouse is ineffective at returning the machine to windows. i know it may
be a setting of some sort i just don't know where to look!! Help!!

Hi Malcolm,
Open Control Panel, Select Performance and Maintenance and open Power
Options. On the Advanced Tab there are options to set what happens when you
close the lid, Stand by, Hibernate or Do Nothing.
