SCREEN GOES BLACK after startup

I unistalled my Nvidia drivers, and then put in a new ATi
9200 video card. I started my computer and after the
first scrolling loading bar screen disappers the whole
monitor goes black, but i can here the startup sound, and
windows loads, but still have a black screen. I put my
Geforce 3 card back in and the problem still occure. If
anyone could help i would appreciate it.

With ATI you need to uninstall all display adapters,in
device mgr.,then install all 4 dwnloads from ATI,install
the 4 w/o a reboot after each,after the last,reboot.
