Screen Freezes

I don't cllose my computer, all I do is just leave it on Stand By when I go
out or when I sleep. But the past two, days I open it, after I turn on my DSL
modem, halfway through getting the connection the screen just freezes. The
CPU red light (the light that blinks when it's doing something) wasn't on or
blinking. The second time, when I turned on computer and opened modem again,
the screen freezes for about 5 seconds, then half the screen becomes black
(from bottom up if that helps) and the CPU red light was on. I waited but
nothing happened, so again I restarted.

I checked Event Viewer but there was nothing there. Why is this so? Please
help and thanks in advance.

Here's some more info. I realized it isn't because of the modem, sorry about
that. The screen just freezes after about 20 seconds of opening from Stand
By. I restarted again today and I got this error message.

Please help me. I looked in websites and it only says it's a Driver Issue? I
already tried reinstalling driver before and it still doesn't work! Please
help and thanks in advance.
