Screen flickers when running on batteries

I have a Sony Vaio Laptop. Whenever I switch the power
source from AC to batteries, the monitor flickers and
becomes barely readable. I updated the driver for the
screen, but that did not help.

Visit the Sony support website and download/install all the applicable
Windows XP drivers for your specific Sony notebook:
