Hi All,
I'm trying to open tif files and get the "scratch disk is
full" warning. What is a scratch disk and how do I remove
material from it to free up space ?
Thanks,
Luce

It might mean you are running out of space on the hard disk that contains the TEMPorary
directory pointed to by the
%temp% environmental variable.

If you are trying to open the files in Photoshop-

Photoshop has a "scratch disk" setting in preferences
which usually needs to be increased, It's kinda Adobe's
term for page file, that is allocated for its program. If
the tiff files you are trying to open are rather large
this may help.

Good Luck

I think you must be a Photoshop user. Full detail in the user guide or try
the Adobe forum.

Good Luck,

David.
