Scrambled File Order

After about a month, the logical file order of my files
became randomized. I worked with the scrambled file order
until installing the latest Service Pack. After
installation, all of the files were once again in logical
sequence. But now, two months later, they have once again
become randomly listed in the directories. One or two
files re-arranged, no problem. But I work with
directories filled with hundreds of files so finding them
has become a major chore.

Can anyone solve this problem and suggest a fix?
