Scheduled backup run minimized?

Hi all,

I finally managed to run the scheduled ntbackup.exe.

Now i'm wondering if it's possible to run it minimized at the time when
it's scheduled.

I've tried to point the backup job to a link of the .bks file of the
backup instead of the .bks file itself, and set the link to run the
program minimized, but at the scheduled time the backup runs and closes
itself after a second.

Any help?

Thanks!

Meh, not really. Even if you do start it minimized, ntbackup will
restore itself when the backup begins. However, if you can live without
any user intervention/interaction, you can change the launching account
to either your administrator account, or "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" (with a
blank password).

A word of warning, though: we're talking no interaction AT ALL. If it
wasn't for the devices/drives kicking up, you wouldn't even know if a
backup was taking place. You'll be reliant on the summaries to know what
happened, and if something goes wary, only by killing its process will
you be able to stop it. Obviously, this isn't an option if you'll need
to swap media in the middle of the backup.
