schedule job

There is a scheduled job on my client PC the runs about noon. I thought it
is easy to change that by going into control panel , scheduled tasks.
However I could not find in his ID, every single possible administrator ID.

where else can I look? I even tried at command prompt in those IDs.

G'Day GS,

If no job shows in Scheduled Tasks, then there is NO scheduled
task.

Several pieces of Software have agents that run as Services. These
include Software updaters (e.g. Kodak), Antivirus (Windows OneCare)
and others.

These Services use internal mechanisms (Windows Timers etc) to 'wake up'
and do their thing - perhaps one of these is your 'scheduled task'.

thx. Definitely no scheduled task as such but nonetheless I still have hunt
down where that program gets started at noon.

I know that program itself is not a service. I heard there is a command in
Xp that lets one to schedule some program to run at specific time and
probably as service.

If anyone can enlighten me further, I will much appreciate that.

G'Day (again) GS,

Do some research on: at
and schtasks

These are both command line task schedulers.

Good luck!

thank you very much.

schtasks is likely what I need. I will try that on the client's laptop
when I get a chance
