Scanning to Word Problem

When I scan a document into Word the font is really large. Changing the font
and font size doesn't work, the font stays very large. The formatting screen
doesn't help as I am not smart enough to know what to select. I simply want
the Word Document to be a reasonable size, ideally the same as the object I
scanned.

Locate the Zoom indicator and see if it's bigger than 100% (it's in
different places in different versions of Word).
