Scanner software help

I am using windows XP to try and install the software for
my Mustek 600cu scanner and the following message keeps
coming up:

The windows 95 system you are currently using is not OSR
2.1, please install the USB supplement.

Hi...
I,ve been trying to install the same scanner (mustek
600cu). I found some win2000 drivers on their site and a
xp tool for installing them...which should all have been
a simple afair...but now whenever i try to aquire an
image i get messages along the lines of...Please install
TWAIN drivers or scanner not detected...but it is there
in system management and i can run the diagnostic check
on it from the control panel..which it passes every
time...
I'm at a loss now surley twain should be installed with
the drivers themselves..I can see them in C/windows so I
dont know.
Someone pls help me....thx...

Thats exactly the same as mine practically, i can do a
diagonostic and it says its fine, but it doesn't have the
feature where you can just right click on it and click
get pictures (like my web cam does.)

So anyone who can help gordon or i, please post a reply.
