scanner serial number

I lent a scanner to a friend and am not sure if she gave me
my scanner back she claims her son tore the original
sticker off I know my serial # is there anywhere else I can
check (insider secret) to make sure its mine THANKS
 
you might want to contact the maker of the scanner about where else you
might look for it.
