My scan disk stalls each time I use it (Windows XP Home
edition). I have just installed Kazaa, but that hasn't
caused a problem before. Any thoughts?

Installing Kazaa can lead to many issues related to security of your
machine. My hunch is there is a relation to your installing this and
this problem.

There is no scandisk in Windows XP (the XP equivalent is called
"chkdsk").

What are you trying to do and how?
