scan disk

I remember reading about this, but unfortunately, I don't
remember where. I can't find scan disk on my computer. I
want to run scan disk!....Help!!

There is no "scandisk" utility in Windows XP. XP uses "Checkdisk".

I assume you are using windows XP, and so the "scan disk"

has been changed to error checking, or checkdisk. You open
up the my computer, then right click your primary hard
drive, select properties, tools tab, and "error checking"
and be sure to check only the first box, which
is "automatically fix file system errors" and not that
second option unless you have near hard drive failure,
because this scans for bad sectors and takes long time.
