Saving

Hi, can anyone please help, not sure if I'm in the right area, but I am
having trouble with saving documents. I have 16x max. DVD+/-RW and 16xDVD
drives and am trying to save a microsoft home publishing file onto disk,
enabling me to then take this to work. I have tried on CD-RW discs and CD-R
discs, but seem unable to save. Any ideas as to what is wrong, do i have the
correct disks?

What is the result of your attempts? Error message? What software is
being used?

In Windows Explorer, right-click on the drive that will be used, click
PROPERTIES|RECORDING tab and verify that the drive is enabled for recording.

In addition to the other suggestions, make sure you first save to your hard
drive, then copy to cd. Do not save the file directly to cd.

You have to save the file to your hard drive and then start up your CD burner
software and copy the file to the CD. Does this help?

The inbuilt burning of XP does not provide support for using such disks
as output media from programs. Read up at
http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpcd.htm

The built in XP burning system will not allow this. Look at:

Roxio Easy CD Create 6 / Media Creator 7 for "Drag to CD"

or

Ahead InCD (part of Nero??)

Well Please don't tell *me*! If you feel it necessary to repeat the
point (and no harm in that) please do it in a follow up to the enquirer
- not to me
