Saving

Currently, only files saved to E:\\My Documents are saved upon
rebooting [for any reason]. This is the way my computer [Dell
Dimension laptop] was set up during 2004 or 2005. Since many files are
saved to other folders [primarily C:\\Program Files] how would I undo
the system whereby I can only save permanently to E:\\My Documents?

Thank you,

There are many directions from where you can save files such as the
Internet, within each app you use, etc. All would have to be
reset/reconfigured
to save to your "E" drive. There is no global one key answer to do this.
The My Documents folder is a default folder on "C" drive, thus unless you
configure otherwise, saved files would go there by default.

We need to identify which program is restoring your c: drive and then look
at turning it off. Please note it may not be a program it could be a Windows
setting. {My computers do exactly the same but that is my design}

Yes but most programs/applications that don't automatically go to
C:\\Program Files go to E:\\My Documents. My machine IS configured
differently. I just wanted to configure it differently from the way it
is configured.

Check through your list of programs using an admin logon and see if you can
identify the program
