I use Spybot Search and Destroy as one of my spyware scanners and
eliminators. Most results can be harmful but a few may be innocent. If I
eliminate everything that the program picks up, my computer crashes and/or
loses some items outside of the E:\My Documents folder.

I just ran a scan and got these results. Which ones should I delete and
which ones is it okay to leave?:

Advertising.com; Avenue A, Inc.; DoubleClick; Excite; FastClick; MediaPlex;
Windows Security Center AntiVirusOveride; Windows Security Center
UpdateDisableNotify.

Thank you,

The last two:

Windows Security Center AntiVirusOveride
Windows Security Center UpdateDisableNotify

are settings in the security center. Your antivirus and/or firewall may have
set them, or you may have changed them manually. You can set them yourself
in the Security Center.

The rest all look like cookies. Are they flagged as cookies, registry
entries or files? In any case they should be fine to delete.

How would I get to the security center?
