virus slowing me down

ok... I just recently got a virus. I took it to someone to fix it. It is a
new virus that the guy never heard of it. he downloaded SmitfraudFix and it
got rid of most of the crap. however, i think it is still there.

Something still is turning off my Windows Security Center after I turn it on
and it added a web search bar in Internet Explorer. It made my computer
extremely slow. I have Norton AntiVirus, Windows Defender, Ad-Adware, and
Spybot Search and Destroy. They see it and they say they fixed the problems,
but the problem is still there.

Spybot says its Mircosoft.WindowsSecurityCenter_disable, Firefox cookies
(AdRevoler, Advertising.com, DoubleClick, and MediaPlex). I am thinking of
wiping the hard drive as a last ditch effort. Is there any other way?

Some malware is very difficult, if not impossible to remove. You can
check to see if there are targeted removal steps for your malware here:

Try scanning for the virus by using your antivirus software in safe mode. To
get into safe mode, hit F8 as soon as you computer starts up. If all else
fails, do a system restore (preferably in safe mode as malware isn't
running) to a date where you were not infected.
