Outlook.pst

I use WinXP Pro II. I use "My Documents" as a substitute for Windows
Explorer. There is always a file there, at or near the top [I have
files listed by last accessed/used]: Outlook.pst.

What is this file? I use Outlook for my e-mail.

that is the file where all the OUTLOOK email messages are stored

In fact not just the email messages, but the contents of all your personal
folders (includes contacts, calendar etc.)

Sure it would, it would be smaller, but it would not disappear.
