Saving .xls file as .exe. file

Anyway of saving a .xls file as a executable file.
Have VBA code (i.e.PING)that needs to run for several
hours and don't want to tie-up EXCEL for other use.
Could run VBA code on separate PC, but then someone could
start up another sheet and click the 'X' button stopping
everything.

I don't believe there is any way to compile a VBA Macro.

Check out Visual Baler. May be useful. Don't know of anyone with experience
in using it so have no recommendations.

I used VB with lotus 123 many years ago. It worked well to make a ss look
like an application and hide all perfectly. Apparently the new one does not
much more than the old and has little to do with excel. If anyone wants to
buy mine, I'll sell.
