Saving word template by Name using _ or -

When a MS word template is opened as a new MS word document and again when
Iam trying to save the same document by name Sh_PP it is not accepted.
How can I save it by name using "_" or " - ".
Please suggest if any other special char's can be used in naming.

Both characters are acceptable in file names.
Are you trying to open a template and save it as a document? You can't do
that. You can only save a template as a template. You should create a new
document from a template and save that.

Create a new document from a template...
Use File > New and select your template.
