saving the _results_ of a search

Hi--

I used XP's search facility to find files. Now I would like to save the
list of files found in a Word or Wordpad document or in a plain text
file. How can I do that? There is an option to save the search, which
just seems to save the query, not the result of the query. But I want
to save the actual names of the files found.
