saving pictures

I used to be able to save picture files from the internet
using XP and IE6 by simply right clicking on the picture;
it would give the picture name, and give me the default
option of saving as a .jpeg and which folder to save
in..recently now when i try to save it; the picture is
always listed as "Untitled"; and my only file type option
is to save as a .bmp file?? how do i reset this?

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.
