"Saving pictures as"

When I right click on a jpeg image and select "save
picture as" it only gives the option of saving as an
bitmap file with a default file name of untitled.

How do I get the browser to save it as a jpeg with the
appropriate file name

Delete your temporary internet files. In IE click tools, internet options.

Please launch Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>in the General
tab click the Delete Files button. This will clear your cache, which is the
common fix for this issue. Hope this helps.
