Saving .jpg images

Suddenly my IE 6.0 will not recognize a .jpg extension or file name upon
using "SAVE AS." When the unopened picture is selected as "SAVE TARGET AS"
the correct title and extension is automatically selected. Otherwise all I
get is "Unknown" title and Bitmap extension type. I've had this problem on
my desktop before and never solved it. Now using a new Toshiba laptop with
Windows XP. Plenty of RAM and disk space and 2.4ghz processor.

You cashe is full empty you temp internet files and make
sure its set a bit higher
