saving in word 2007/vista??

When I attempt to save in word 2007 from laptop, I am having no success
retreiving the document on another word program on a pc... what am I missing?

Don't save directly to removable media. Save to your hard drive and
then copy it to your flash drive or diskette or email or whatever.

Do you have Word 2007 (or an earlier version with the compatibility update)
on the other PC?
How are you transferring the document?
