Word 2007

I am no longer able to save to any format a document using Word 2007. I had
this capability previously now I get the error message: "Mircosoft Office
Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
invonvenience."

New documents or documents that were previsouly created in Word 2007 or Word
2003 all will not save. My documents is recoverable but it will not save.

After reporting the error several times and ocassionally Micosoft's
automated process tries to fix my system the result is the same. I am still
unable to save.

I tried reinstalling Word 2007 but the result is the same as listed above.
What should I try next?

If you start Word in Safe mode (hold Ctrl as you start the application, and
click Yes when you are being asked about Safe mode), then does saving work
properly? If so, the problem is with the registry, with the Normal template
or with an add-in.
