saving images in IE6

when I try to save an image the save dialog now defaults to "untitled" and
will only allow me to save the image as a bitmap. How do I get it to save an
image in the original format under the original file name? It used to.

Empty the Temporary Internet Folder.

Internet Explorer saves images as bitmaps (.bmp Files)
