Int Explorer only letting save images a .BMP with "untitled" as ti

Recently, during surfing, I notced everytime I want to use the "Save picture as.." command, IE is only letting me save the image as a Bitmap file with "untitled" as the name instead of being able to save as the original .jpeg format with the original file name. Does anyone know the cause of this and the cure? Thanks very much in advance....
