Saving autofill addresses list

outlook stores the list of most recently and most often used email addresses
in a file that saves to documents and settings\username\Application Data\
Microsoft\outlook\outlook.fav. Is there a way to force this file to update?
I have a user on my network whose Outlook crashes more often than most (even
after repair, reinstall, etc.) and would like to be able to keep the autofill
file current. Autofill apparently does not save until Outlook is completely
closed.

Right directory, wrong file.
The file has the name of the Outlook profile name and an NK2 extension.
It is updated each time a message is sent. You can save a copy of it even
when Outlook is running for backup purposes.
