Can a movie created with Windows Movie Maker be converted into a quicktime
movie so that it can be played on a DVD player hooked to a TV?

QuickTime movies don't play on DVDs.... your DVD software will take the
saved movie and make the disc, using the MPEG-2 files needed for it.
