Saving 2007 Excel spreadsheets

I just got Office 2007 last week. I've created a spreadsheet, saved it and
sent it on to a coworker. He can't open it because the file extension is xltx
instead of xls. How can I save this so he can open it in his 2003 version?

Thank you.

You can change the default "Save As" if you click on the Office Button, then
go down to the bottom right corner and click on Excel Options. On the left
hand side, click on Save and where it says, "Save files in this format"
Change it to read Excel 97-2003 Workbook. This way everytime you hit save, it
will save it in that format. You can change the way your previous document
was saved if you do a Save As and then choose 97-2003 document.

Adding to Steph's reply, your friend can also download the Office 2007 file
compatibility pack which will allow him/her to open the file in versions of
Excel before 2007
