Savegames == user's Documents?

It seems both Micro$oft and non-Micro$oft companies
don't treat savegames as user data...

If you download the March 2008 DirectX SDK, you can find documentation such
as,
Games for Windows: Technical Requirements.
You can also view this document at

I do notice that it says

"Windows Vista Rich Saved Games:
This requirement has been retired."
