saved project to and avi file

I saved my project as a dv-avi file..I get video but no sound..I get an error
when media player attempts to download codec automatically....any
sugggestions...I'm goin to create a vob file from the avi do I even need the
audio codecs?
 
what kind of source files did you use for the project? if MPEG-2 or Divx
encoded AVI files, it could be that MM2 didn't have the codecs to
successfully render the file.

it was an mpeg2....any way to see what codecs I need and where to find?
