save drop down addresses from outlook

Hi,

I have 2 problems:

1. It's been a few days that my outlook 2003 shows a mail still pending in
my outbox as sending, but the message has already been sent to the people it
was meant to go. Just last night I was sending a mail with an
attachment(about 1mb) and it has gone 400 times to the reciever .... and it
is still showing in my outbox. None of my other colleagues have this problem
who are using the same service provider.

2. I thought of re-installing my outlook 2003... but I need to be able to
save the automatic drop-down addresses which come-up in my outlook whenever
i try entering an email address. Basically the automatic compeltion of email
addresses. I tried taking a back-up of my outlook contacts but there seems to
be no entries in my contacts book. I have also searched for a .PAB file on my
computer. I need to know where does outlook pickup these addresses from. Will
I still get the automatic drop-down after i re-install. I can't afford to
re-install without knowing that I will be bale to access those addresses

Reinstalling Outlook won't help a thing. Why not just delete the message
from your Outbox?

It's not about only one message.. it keeps on happening regualry. Many a
times the mail do not go through and I keep my outlook open in the nights and
then get a complaint that it has been bombed with 100 mails to the recipients

You see nothing in your Outbox? Make sure you've cleared your read receipts.

I never said you used Read receipts. Unsent read receipts _requested by
others_ is the most common cause for the behavior you claim is happening.
Reinstalling Outlook 2003 won't help a thing. You need to figure out what is
causing this problem, and you've provided insufficient information for
anyone else to troubleshoot your problem.
If you want to create a new Outlook profile, you can easily migrate your
autocompletion cache (NK2 file) by simply renaming it to match the name of
your new Outlook profile.
