Save As Defaults

When I click Save As, it ALWAYS defaults to the Temporary File folder.
Although this is irritating, it is absolutely maddening when it does it every
time. Logically, one would expect to save a follow-up file at the LAST place
you saved... getting from one My Documents folder to another is easier and
quicker than always having to back out of Temporary Files into My Documents
and then locate the folder where you last saved EVERY time. I am frequently
saving series of documents and these extra steps make the project such a
chore.
How do I find the defaults to change this? I know the Temp files are a
safety net for system recovery purposes, but I'd rather have a temp file
within My Documents as it would save me time and keystrokes.

IE will remember the last download directory, change it to what you want in
the Save As dialog.

Change default Internet Explorer Download Directory

Start | Run | Type: regedit | Click OK
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
Create a new String value, or modify the existing value, called Download
Directory
Value Name: Download Directory
Data Type: REG_SZ
Value Data: Path\to\the\folder

For example, C:\Documents and Settings\Wesley Vogel\Desktop

Hope this helps. Let us know.
