SATA C: Drive appears in Safely Remove-Sytem tray

I have installed an new system and encountered the following problem.

My WinXP system drive is on a new 160gig Western Digital SATA drive. It's
all working fine except for the nuisance of the Safely Remove hardware icon
is in the systray, WITH the system drive listed as a removable drive.

Has Microsoft dealt with this issue in XP?

I read a MS artcile on how to edit the registry in Win2000, but the values
in regedit are different than the command in the article, so I don't know if
the value I should add is Binary, Text, Whatever....

Help?

Thanks

Its not an XP or MS issue
Sata drives are designed to be hot swapable, its a feature of your
raid/chipset drivers
Sometimes updating the chipset driver, from mobo site, removes this option,
but not allways.
You cannot, in any case, Eject the o/s drive.
