Sasser Virus!!!

I had the sasser virus, which is bad enough, but I can't
remove it. I've used the microsoft download, and I've
updated windows a few times, but the countdown never goes
away. It pops up on my computer at random times. The only
thing I've found that works is If I do a run command -
shutdown a- - but is there any way to eliminate it
completely?

Some viruses can be very difficult to remove. If the instructions for
removal here:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sasser.g.html

don't solve your problem, then you'll have to erase your hard disk and
perform a clean installation of all your software.

Use an antivirus program....

This is a no-brainer and anyone who does not use an antivirus program in
this day and age deserves all the heartache that will come form getting
infected.
