samsung lcd problem

I am trying to hook up a samsung sycmaster 710N to my laptop for
extended desktop. It worked at first and then i suddenly got the
error message 'Not Optimum Mode Recommended Mode: 1280x1024 60Hz' Of
course, i changed the settings to match those but to no avail. Any
ideas on what i can do or can i turn of this warning and operate in a
not optimum mode? Any help would be great.

The resolution settings are in both the monitor and Windows display
properties. If you run a program that changes the resolution in Windows (eg.
games can do this) you will get the resolution error again. Usually you can
turn off the warning message in the monitor's setup options (not Windows).

Using google.com, I found another user reporting the same error message and
his monitor had the same problem on two different computers. If your
monitor acts up on another PC, suspect hardware and you might want to check
with Samsung.
