Thinking of buying the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 mobile.
Anyone got any views on it?
Anyone got one?
Budget is up to £160 so it's in my price range.

Just got to sort out who i get it through as i'm on a sim only deal.
So may get treated like a PAYG go customer, only £10 more for a sim free deal.

They are pretty good little phones. I used the other halfs one for a few months.
T-mobile has them for £129.99 + £10 top up.
Get the phone from any network ( cheapest ) and get it unlocked for £5 from any local unlocking place, then use your sim only sim.

£5 to get it unlocked?

Wow that's cheap 15 30quid by me depending on model

Yep if you pay it they will charge it..

Around here its always been about £5 to £10 max for any phone, if they tried to charge more people would just walk and find another that would do it for that amount and there are plenty out there to choose from!

And then take it from their, Phones4U have the phone well priced.
Then it's just the case, in car charger & USB storage card to buy.

Its a decent phone, but make sure you upgrade it to the latest version of Android, 4.x Jellybean, as i read a review said that the phone ships with Gingerbread!

Buy SIM free, get a sim only contract, profit.

Put all your contacts on your Gmail account and sign in to the account on the phone. Sorted.

Is upgrading easy to do?
Is it a case of just downloading it to the phone?

Peace of cake to download the latest software.
Connect phone to WiFi for faster download.

Apps > Settings > About Device > Software Update.

It takes all of a few minutes to update to latest software.

Well if you can get the S3 for a decent price, then go for that one rather :)

S3 is a way better phone than Ace you are considering as rightly pointed out by EvanDavis. If the price is favourable S3 is the way to go.
