Same Site, Different Service Account

Question: I have an Exchange (hub) 5.5 Site with 2 servers. When I
view the Service Account Properties via Admin Configuration Container
for each server, they show that a different Service Account is being
used for each. Also, the Exchange Services are running under different
IDs. (BTW, I am using the same Admin session to connect to each
server separately.) Everything appears to be working fine, but it goes
against what I know about the Service Account.

I have inherited this setup, so I do not have much history. My
original thought is that the account was migrated via the Active
Directory Migration tool and their was SID History, but both accounts
are pointing the NT 4.0 domain.

The service account should always be the same for servers in the same site.
I would investigate what's going on here by making sure the two directories
are replicating OK and keeping themselves up-to-date. The service account
is responsible for allowing the Exchange services access to the directories
on the local machine, as well as remote machines (directory to directory
updates, for instance)--among other things. So this would always be the
same site-wide.
