Domain Trusts Problem

I am trying to upgrade my companys servers from NT 4 Server to 2k3
Server.

Currently the company has
an NT 4 PDC and BDC with Service Pack 6a, and Exchange
5.5 I am doing a fresh install of Server 2003 on a
seperate server with Exchange 2003 so I can migrate
everything from the NT 4 Domain of "NEWS" to the 2003
domain of "NE-CORP.com" I have done a fresh install of
2003 and installed active directory via the dcpromo.
After doing this I am trying to create a trust between the
two domains so I can migrate user accounts and exchange
accounts. I am able to create a trust on the NE-CORP.com
domain back to the NEWS domain with a password of News-
86. When I go to the NEWS domain to create the trust back
to NE-CORP.com is where I am having problems. When I
click on add under the Trusted Domains I enter NE-CORP for
the domain name and put in the password News-86. When I
do this it waits for a few seconds then comes back and
says access is denied.

I am totally lost on what do here. Please Help with any
suggestions.

Thanks

I assume they're on the same subnet, or if on different subnets, you have
NetBIOS resolution support (WINS possibly).

See if this helps (section on "workaround."
