Same font on slide displays differently when viewed in slide show

I am using Times New Roman (both plain and bold) on PPT slides with dark
image background. The type font looks just fine in edit mode, but when
viewing in Show one bullet text sentence looks thinner more emaciated while
the next bullet looks crisp and bold.

This is definitely noticeable if you have the exact same text with the same
formatting in different bullets.

It does not matter if I have custom animation applied or not or whether I
change the background image to a solid color or if I use different text
color.

Which font size do you use? Which resolution has your monitor or projector?

This can happen with small font sizes, but on a 1024x768 pixel monitor a 14
pt font (and larger) should look OK.

If not, please check the settings for "high contrast" in the operating
system settings, which are usually meant only for handicapped persons.

Best regards,
Ute

Thanks for the response. Monitor settings is at 1280 x 1024. This is
reproducible across any PC or laptop in my organization. Happens in any font
size, any font type. The example I have has both bullets with the same
formatting and font size of 20pt. One bullet looks crisp and bold the other
looks thinner and harder to read when displayed in Show mode. The only
difference is that one bullet is indented further to the right than the
other. Other than that everything is the same. If I take the good displaying
bullet and pull the indent left over to match the bad displaying one both
then look bad in Show mode. Seems like a bug to me cause it does not make
sense.
