Is there a third party product that provide a Netware-like Salvage
function for flavors of Windows servers?
I.e. allows me as a admin to set up a salvage bin (like the trash can)
that stores files on a server that were deleted by someone connected to
a share.
Most of the time I spend doing recovery from backups are for people who
accidentally deleted a file or folder in the last minutes or day and
want to have it restored. If I were to have a salvage or trash can
that I could configure to hold the last 5 days, or N Gig (circular), it
would save everyone a lot of time and grief.
This is a feature that netware has had from at least 1994. Someone
must be selling something that emulates this, no?
