accidently replace file with older version

I accidentally replaced a file with an older version. They were copied in two
different locations so when I was moving files, it asked me to delete one
file. I deleted the wrong one...any way to salvage it? Thanks! S

If you have Vista Business or Ultimate, you may be able to get back the file
you want with Previous Versions (look in Vista's Help for "Previous
Versions). If you have a Home version, you won't have this available to you
and you'll need to replace the file from backup. Otherwise, the original
file (the one you want) has been overwritten.

Side note: this is exactly why "moving" isn't a good choice when doing file
management. Choose "copy" instead and take the extra step of deleting
unwanted files from the original location.
