Saitek Wireless Cyborg Evo

Hey all,
Yesterday I spent £50 on a new joystick for my son to use on battlefield 2.
Originally the joystick installed perfectly in windows at least, the
calibration was all spot on. But when I loaded his game it wouldnt let me map
the keys at all, the light on the joystick came on so it was working just not
being recognised.

I messed around with it a bit, reinstalled the game for him, updated all the
patches and drivers, reinstalled the joystick a few times (removing it from
device manager each time). Now the joystick is not even recognised on the
calibration screen after installing the drivers.

Has anyone got any idea what has gone wrong here? He has 2 logitech pro
gamepads which I unplugged. I tried each USB port, nothing. I changed the
battery. I updated drivers.

Thanks for your time
